Inevitable this review! I think that, as often happens to those who become attached to the cult works of a band, you have somewhat succumbed to nostalgia, and indeed for a good part of the review, perhaps for all of it, you are right. "The Mellon Collie" will be played in the listener, but taking the CD in its uniqueness, without comparisons to what Corgan will probably not be able to replicate, it turns out to be musically listenable, albeit a bit too monotone. Leaving aside the alternative impressions of "Gish," it is an album permeated by decent electronics, without any flair or disgrace. Of course, it's impossible not to join your cry: "COME BACK WITH CHAMBERLIN!"... in the meantime, we are left with this almost colorless work like the nice little face on the cover.
