Well done, you rascal. A few days ago, I mentioned your splendid vocal participation in "Ferro Battuto" by Battiato. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful voices around.

And it's true, we Catholics have been dulled by this awareness, who can deny it? Pascal said "cela vous fera croire et vous abetira," religion "will dull you" through a basic education instilled from childhood by one's educators, plunging one into the terror of sin and wrongdoing. But whether we like it or not, we enter the merits of religion before we enter the merits of the religious world; we manage to avoid being influenced by that wonderful trend of attacking the Church from a historical perspective (who can deny it has been a hell of abominations?), of considering all priests in this world as pedophiles, of viewing the message distorted by those who proclaim it. Ah, perhaps it’s better to be dulled, indeed.

Josie, alas, we are two shitty Catholics. Voltaire said that religion is something for old folks, but in your recent response to Mario, I fully recognize your reasons ('for once...), because I share that thought: the refractory attitude towards Catholicism, or more generally Christianity, often stems from a more or less conscious acrimony towards the Catholic world, which is not infrequently made up of pedophile priests, powerful churchmen, and Voltairean "old folks" who go to church solely for the indoctrination of religious principles; the hostility towards religion itself often arises from all of this, and it’s an utterly improper leap, since I believe one cannot judge the message by the person who communicates it. The message remains what it is. "I don't go to mass because the priest is corrupt": I have never understood that. The priest is corrupt, nobody can deny that, but what that has to do with one's faith is unclear.

Absolutely right the differentiation between Catholicism and Protestantism, an objective distinction that doesn't need to rely on considerations of what is better or worse: those are personal choices. Josie, you're a stingy piece of shit. At least give a 5 to Francis.

Interesting, Kosmo, your observations about Italian reality shows are absolutely valid. Here, there is a much stronger sense of modesty, which is something that manifests not only in reality images but generally in everything that airs on Italian TV, never ready to flaunt, even at 11:30 at night, the porn-chic programs on fetish objects typical of Swiss and German broadcasters, just to name one. I believe that in this case it is also indirectly connected, just to tie back to the relevant discussion of these recent posts, to the more pronounced rooting of Christianity, particularly Catholicism, in Italy compared to other European states, to the extent that it instills, why not, in the minds of those participating in the reality shows themselves that state of conscientious dulling that Mario was talking about, that secret police that leads you, rightly so, to avoid indecent behavior in front of the cameras, whether it’s a blasphemy or a fellatio.

Uhm, uhm, I don’t know if you might like it, we are in the context of "melodic" electronic music in the style of Yanni, Vangelis, the latest Kraftwerk, something by Schulze... anyway, this is the record to start with ;)

Holaaa, old oak! You have no idea how much it pleases me to see your sacred "1" on my reviews every time! ;))) I won’t delve into the roller coaster issue, but I assume, who knows why, that the meaning wasn’t very literal, hehe.
