The comment above is nonsense: absolute truth. Antimo, take note.

I'll tell you more, man: for me Meshuggah is crap, period. But, you know, to each their own, right? You can't blame me now, you said it ;D

Here is your comment ----> My opinion is: I don't know. It's true that in the end "like/dislike" is something each of us decides, and it's an indisputable judgment. However, it's also true that - how can I put it - those who have listened to a lot of music FEEL that Zappa, Waters, or Patton, or Carlens are absolutely better than Bon Jovi or Robbie Williams, right? The fact is it's hard to reconcile this (CLEAR) feeling with "de gustibus." And at this point, what would prevent us from comparing artists even centuries apart? The problem of absolute evaluation: assuming it can't be based on empirical evidence (otherwise Britney Spears blah blah blah), it has to rely on theoretical criteria. What criteria? Seminality? It's clear that it's not enough. I don't know how to get out of this. Not that you reached conclusions, but for Diana, you posed a whole series of rhetorical questions that already hint at the answers, and you indeed spoke about the difficulty of being unable to establish hierarchies, come on, let's be real.

But what kind of reasoning is that? First you say you’re not serious, now you say that out of gratitude, starting from I don’t know which post, you are serious... I mean, let me understand, when you said that one can’t talk seriously about music, were you serious? In that sense? Wow, what a whirlwind!

PIESSE: I want to remind all participants in this forum that where it may not be clear, the slightly gray-haired guy up there talking about axioms, the science of the penis portrayed, and other grand refinements in a polenta-like manner is actually a CATANESE MINCHIA WITH AN INFERIORITY COMPLEX COMPARED TO THE MASTERS OF SICILY.

I would give Meshuggah a 1 by default compared to Davis, but whatever, who cares. Mammacheparaculojosie! First, she intervenes in favor, sparking a perfectly valid discussion about the difficulty of reducing everything to de-gustibus when it comes to the differences between Patton and Robbie Williams, and then she plays Hamlet asking: "But are there stakes to plant in the garden to play poisoned ball?". Well, for me, yes, there are, I answer your Hamlet-like doubt. And I already said it. Okay, chezzy, okay fine, but you still haven't answered me: from this moment on, will you always respect those who give good reviews to Coldplay and Oasis? Just so you know, in the CONTEXT of Brit-pop they are exceptional, huh ;)

YuHUUHhuhuh! Here I am, buddy! :D Man, did you see that you got Hal all riled up too? Well, luckily, without having to have a family like yours, someone is stepping in indirectly on my behalf, huh. And who is this Green Genes? Another one of your illegitimate sons? ;) Anyway, great intervention from Hal, I want to linger on the point about the seriousness of discussions: dude, you're dead serious in a lot of situations, don't deny it, on the other hand, when you go to, um, amiably contest the wrong viewpoints of various reviewers whose opinions you find erroneous, you're as serious as Bondi defending Berluska, and this happens in many other circumstances, in many of your reviews, in many of our conversations, where joking may more or less slip in sideways. You are serious. And you talk seriously about music, and you know it, and so I indirectly respond to Hal when he expressed his bewilderment regarding the impossibility of being serious when discussing music here on DeBaser. It’s just that at a certain point, the situation got out of hand, and ZAC! you started to make a whole series of statements that you couldn't make since, as Giuà said, you yourself promote rankings and hierarchies, even when (and here great point Josie, I hadn't even thought of that), you rightly dismiss Bon Jovi and Robbie Williams as crap. How can I not agree with you? But I could tell you that they are great in the context of pop-rock, that there are no hierarchies, and that as soon as I write a review on Stereophonics and give them five stars, woe betide you if you start making fun of me, right? :)
