I don't underestimate him at all; he's my second favorite artist after Tom Waits. I have everything by Petty, including Play Back. Let's talk about it, senior ;)

It's as if Dylan's mom had hooked up with Elvis, hence the birth of Mr. Springsteen. I definitely prefer Springsteen over Dylan, though I own all the albums of both. In this regard, I would like to point out (beyond personal taste) that Dylan has released some pretty mediocre stuff over the years, while the lowest point of the Boss has been the more than respectable Human Touch. The quadruple collection of unreleased tracks (Tracks, of which we will soon see the release of the second volume) undeniably proves that Springsteen is not only the greatest performer in the history of music but also an extraordinary songwriter. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, but to say he is overrated means not knowing his music—and certainly not his musical journey—inside out.

Great album that can comfortably stand alongside Born To Run, The River, Nebraska, and Born In Usa.
