"Among the group, in any case, they limited themselves to composing and playing their own material"....... but how can you say such things? Have you ever picked up a guitar or tried to sing? This is probably the worst U2 album of the 2000s. How much I can't stand those who review things they can’t appreciate even remotely..... what a sadness your pseudo-comments bring me...... sure, just get a good sound engineer and we all become U2 ole'''''''''''''' ridiculous!!!!! Tomorrow I'll give Eno a call and let's see if my band and I can at least reach the level of the talking heads........pfffffffffffff ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffffff..... oh yes, one last thing, there are 4 of them but even if there were two, it would be the same.... look at what a strange group it is, mainly based on the musical talents of two members and not all.... what nonsense! Thank you, you’ve enlightened me!

Someone said it’s a good record… someone else even mentioned that there are metal lyrics à la Ozzy… whoever gave it a score of 3… tastes are tastes, but for this kind of masterpiece there should be a certain objectivity… for the Best Acoustic Album of all time, and if you don’t care about my opinion, maybe you could trust Johnny Cash.

mmm I remember that at your age I was switching from the AC/DC fever to the Dire Straits one......... THE QUESTION COMES UP NATURALLY, and what were you listening to before???????
Mark Knopfler Screenplaying
Voto:
I don’t like compilations, so this is the only Knopfler album I don’t have, and it’s also lacking any unreleased tracks, so… your review is excellent. As for Knopfler as a composer, I personally appreciate Local Hero, Cal, and something from Last Exit to Brooklyn, Metro, and Wag the Dog. I also agree with those who said that he has made soundtracks only for bad films… even though Shot of Glory is saving grace for me…
Mark Knopfler Sailing to Philadelphia

I should preface that I have everything by Knopfler, including singles and EPs (the entire discography of Dire Straits included), in short, he is absolutely one of my favorites.
I remember that during my first listens, this album gave me great emotions, but still only What It Is, Sailing To Philadelphia, and Silvertown Blues are songs that I truly consider stunning. The rest, for goodness' sake, is decent enough to listen to, but over time it fades away... Overall, all his other solo albums are better, except for the soundtracks...
P.S.: I saw him live this year at Villa Pisani... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING (he does not at all make you miss Dire Straits, and it's probably because half the band was practically them :)
Bon Jovi These Days
Voto:
I CONSIDER BON JOVI VALID WITH THE BOSS'S HOLED SOCK. EXCEPT for Slippery When Wet, which is the only album of theirs worth mentioning... if we really want to give them a compliment, the rest is quite painful. But listen to the Wildflowers, who are infinitely better and less known, it's worth it!!!!
