A beautiful review for a masterpiece! I have always loved this album... my favorite by Bowie!

Wrong, this happened with Nick Mason during the recordings of what was supposed to be the second Pink Floyd album, the drummer who couldn't keep up with Barrett on acid was Mason! In The Madcap Laughs this didn't happen because Wyatt got along famously with Barrett, and the other members of Soft Machine did too... a fact also demonstrated by the post-Pink Floyd collaborations between Barrett and Ayers!

Yes superpizza, the cover (very beautiful!) was painted by Syd. The legendary cover of The Madcap Laughs is also his idea. Barrett was a 360° artist!

No, Ezekiel, I think you have completely misunderstood! The friends who tried to get him to do something actually aimed to make him seem crazier than he was... to prove my point, just think about the amazing pieces that were left off the two albums (and it’s unclear why Gilmour chose to leave them out in favor of weaker tracks where Barrett struggled to hit the right note)... Barrett had no control over the production... that's a fact, but he wrote the songs, not his friends... and also, Barrett was always mad! ...the whole friends argument doesn’t hold up, I'm sorry... what do you think about Daniel Johnston or Roky Erickson then?
