Her best one is still the first, beautiful, "the celts." Then, despite the attempts, FOR ME, she only recycled herself (in excellent fashion, by the way).

You piqued my curiosity; I only have "You All Look The Same To Me" from 2002, and aside from the STUNNING "again," the album didn't impress me much... what do you think, should I give them a chance???

I’ll chime in even if I wasn't called... relative scoring is fine, but come on, a 5 is WAY too much for certain albums! I repeat, a nice 3 wouldn’t have looked out of place at all; maybe a 4 at most, but all these 5s are exaggerated!

the album is not bad at all, actually! but as usual... isn't it excessive to give 5 to everything (I'm not just talking to you)? the rating should have a minimum of absolute value! a 3 is a good score anyway. let's use it once in a while :-)

I didn't like this one at all! Monotonous, without ideas.

:-) well, I tried! Tastes are not to be discussed (I'll skip the Latin to avoid mistakes), anyway, check out my review of Emperor's "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk," you can even say something about a black metal album! :-)

Come on! How is this not music!? They play instruments and create melodies. Of course, if the sound is poorly mixed or recorded, that's another story (which, by the way, is intentional). If even industrial (the real one, like Throbbing Gristle, to be clear) is considered music!!! :-)

the song (come to daddy) is beautiful (not to mention the video) just like the madness of windowlicker… but the album is indigestibleeeeee! :-)

For Airone: well, well-known to whom? I don't think many people have read little books like "lord of chaos" on the topic or are interested in Scandinavian chronicles! And then... repetita iuvant :-) Why talk about it? Because black metal, unlike other genres or musical currents, has roots in a youth discomfort that was simmering up there, and all these "tales" are in some way an expression of that situation. A bit like (don't-shoot-me-it's-just-an-exampl e) London in '77 and punk. Music and social distress were both necessary components for the explosion of the genre. Then, allow me to say that it's a bit exaggerated to claim that black metal is extreme pop!!! The chords are often basic, true, but "pop" should be mainly linked to listenability, and don't tell me that an album by Burzum, or by Emperor is easily digestible! If black is pop, what is power metal? The Zecchino d'Oro of the extreme??? :-) I don't understand this aversion from some of you towards this particular genre, one of the few among the extreme ones that also has a social history behind it (okay, a stupid and bloody history, but still history). I recommend that you approach the genre more critically, which, for me, remains fascinating nonetheless.
