This album is not a disappointment. It’s not Parachutes, but it's definitely better than A Rush... Perhaps Martin's voice is a bit monotonous and dragged out. However, the melodies are there. It’s not the usual tired and clichéd brit-pop album. Pass.

WHAT A GREAT ALBUM. BY FAR MY FAVORITE BY THE THE. ANIMAL INSTINCT IN ITS PUREST FORM. AND THEN THEY SAY THE EIGHTIES..................LET'S JUST DROP IT.
Oasis Don't Believe The Truth
Voto:
With Oasis, I stopped at Here Be Now, which was already quite limp. To be honest, the first two albums didn't blow me away either. It seems to me that since Standin on The Shoulder Of Giants, they’ve been recycling the same old meatballs and that the ideas have run out. Plus, I find both Liam and Noel quite annoying. And then, Lyla is also liked by my twelve-year-old daughter. There wouldn’t be anything wrong with that if she didn’t also adore the Blue, Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne, etc.

Beautiful and honest review. Personally, I found "Parachutes" to be a fresh and lively album. Something more than the usual tired and overdone brit-pop. However, with "A Rush of Blood to the Head," the setback was stunning. In showbiz, once you've made it and discovered the formula success=money=women, you tend to rest on your laurels and churn out faded copies of already released work. They had hinted at something more than just another band with a couple of singles, and then they were tossed aside. I think they're already past their prime. Oh! Let’s be clear, the formula success=money=women will still work for a little while. On that front... good for them.
Gwen Stefani Love Angel Music Baby

Honestly, she seems really hot to me. Her music is inversely proportional to her looks. And if she dances poorly as you say, that just turns me on.
Edoardo Bennato I Buoni e i Cattivi
Voto:
I bought it back in the day on cassette (which I still have). I must admit, though, that I've never been a fan of Bennato. His somewhat hiccuping singing style and shrill voice never really appealed to me. Then I also bought (again on cassette) Burattino Senza Fili, and the same applies there. I was just a young kid and still didn't have a turntable. Different times, different stories.
Talk Talk The Colour Of Spring

It seems to me that the rating is a bit meager compared to the review. It's not a masterpiece, but it is, rightly so, a transitional album between the first and second period of Talk Talk. Nearly twenty years later, it doesn’t sound aged nor outdated at all. For me, it’s a great album. A must-have.
Mark Lanegan Band Bubblegum

Below average album from Mark. A bit boring too. Damn those at Mucchio for making me spend my money poorly. The best remains, for me, Scraps at midnight. You can definitely leave this one for last.
Pink Floyd The Wall
Voto:
The album released in the midst of the new wave era was snubbed by much of the critics. Only to be reevaluated a few decades later. The helicopter was all the rage in nightclubs back then (did anyone experience those years?) and it's easy to imagine the disdain and disgust of the "true" music lovers. I can't exempt myself, and I purchased it on CD no more than a couple of years ago. How things change.........
Pink Floyd The Wall

When it comes to Pink Floyd, whether old or new, everyone wants to share their opinion and believes they hold the truth in their pocket. Yet, they’ve made their share of nonsense, just as they’ve produced some outstanding albums. However, few, perhaps no one, can evoke such a multitude of emotions and discussions. And even for this reason, they are great, regardless.
