THE REVIEW

An album, a must! It is definitely one of Edoardo's most successful albums, and certainly one of those to which our singer-songwriter owes much of his fame. The year is 1974, and Edoardo's image was not yet well defined. With this album, Edoardo imports the concept of ONE MAN BAND from England, meaning the mythological figure that is half man and half band. Even though this wasn't entirely his invention, it's worth noting that Edoardo added his own touch. In fact, the dirty sound that used to characterize this type of musician no longer exists. The music therefore appears clean and full of energy, pumped up but at the same time not pounding, catchy, and simple. Basically, the end of the rock world. The album deals with themes that are almost always satirical, except for a few tracks. Noteworthy is the cover depicting Edoardo and Raffaele Cascone, a DJ friend of Edoardo, dressed as Carabinieri and handcuffed to each other. Also notable is the inner sleeve of the album which presents texts and wonderful photos from that period, at least in the original vinyl version, we will discuss other versions later. In vinyl order, the tracks are:

Side 1
Ma che Bella città
Un Giorno Credi
La Bandiera
Facciamo un Compromesso
Bravi Ragazzi
Che Fortuna

Side 2
In Fila Per Tre
Uno Buono
Tira a Campare
Arrivano i Buoni
Salviamo il Salvabile

As for the vinyl of this album, we have no major issues in finding it or purchasing it. The reissue version ORIZZONTI is actually rarer to find than the original, so go ahead and buy it. You should manage with about ten euros. I won't do as I did with the previous album. I will not review song by song. It seems limiting. This album is a masterpiece; you have to listen to it and understand it as you wish. I don't want to influence you on this. GOOD VIBRATIONS

"The apotheosis of the (often) false distinction of good-bad is in the final irony of 'Salviamo il salvabile.'"
