Album listened to once and put back on the shelf. I'm afraid to pick it up again. It feels like hearing the Stooges from another time. Definitely not my kind of thing. Yet I liked Peggy Suicide and I still do. I'll try to listen to it again, but at low volume because the neighbors might call the psych ward.

I agree with the review. If you want some advice, save your money. If you really have nothing by Subsonica, buy Microchip Emozionale. This one has nothing to do with emotions.
Angelo Branduardi Gulliver, la luna e altri disegni

Great tip, Grass. I read a few years ago that "La luna" was Branduardi's best album, but I couldn't find it. I confess, at times, I am pretty ignorant about Italian music and didn't know it had been reissued under this title. I gave up looking for it, also because, I repeat, I've never been too passionate about our man's nursery rhymes. I'll go and find it. Debaser is useful for this too.

I don't have anything by Branduardi. Honestly, I only know him for the nursery rhymes you mentioned at the start. This seems like a different album and one worth having. But let me clarify something. Is this the album "La luna" reissued and titled differently?

Damn the 80s. So many memories. Wonderful review. Nice album, but not extraordinary. Bought it on vinyl as soon as it was released. As you can see, we’re starting to be a multitude. The next one, Dogs in the Traffic (if I remember correctly), is quite disappointing.

For the record, this album is from 1994 and not from 1999.

I came to read the review because I found this album at Media World for €4.90. I was hesitant to get it. I didn’t buy it. I made the right choice.

A formidable debut album, it's a shame they didn't live up to the promises afterwards. It's the curse of many bands. As far as I'm concerned, it's by far the best of their short discography. Lately, I don't really know what they've become. I'm truly surprised that Josi prefers BTCS, where there are long jams that it's not clear what they're supposed to mean. Exercises in style? Virtuosities? There was a time when prog did these things. In BTCS, we are somewhere between jazz, folk, or something I can't quite grasp, but by the end of 70 (!!!) minutes, the feeling is truly one of exhaustion. Of course, it's just a personal opinion, nothing more.
