Porcupine Tree Deadwing
Voto:
I’ve been listening to it on repeat for 3 days, and I have to say it’s the best album of 2005 that I’ve come across so far. Amazing job! There’s very little progressive in it, maybe a few passages. Sometimes it heads towards metal, but never goes overboard and always stays balanced. What strikes me the most is that the songs are there. In short, it’s not just filler. What do you think about electing Porcupine Tree as the most snubbed and underrated band of all time? Honestly, I discovered them on de-baser. I have no memory of ever reading anything about them in specialized magazines. It’s more likely I found something about NO-MAN rather than Porcupine Tree.

Can you satisfy my curiosity? Where did you buy Esthero's latest album?

I, on the other hand, have never seen this record around. I've always read good things about it but I've never come across it. Having listened to the samples, I think it's time to start looking for it.

Funny even if you don't have the courage of your actions. Coward!

Esthero have just released a new album. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be available in the EU. I've read great things about it online, and it can only be found online. When I go to stores and ask if they have anything by these names, they look at me like I'm an extraterrestrial.

Now you can move on to Phil Collins' solo works. But yes, let's hurt ourselves.

Undoubtedly, it’s a trip-hop album, even if it’s not as transcendent as it's painted to be. The masters are Massive Attack and Portishead, unattainable for anyone else (at least until today). Then there are Mandalay, Esthero, Daughter Darling, Halou, Airlock, Morcheeba, and Baxter, at least from what comes to mind right now. Well, the Goldfrapp on this album are part of this mix, and as far as I’m concerned, not among the top spots. Anyway, it’s a good trip-hop album.

Every now and then, Del Amitri are mentioned. I only know them by hearsay. However, I suppose I might like them. Considering they have quite an extensive discography, could you suggest where I should start? To be honest, I've never read any raving praises, but if the genre is like this... Socrates, I'm waiting for your guidance.
Morcheeba Fragments Of Freedom
Voto:
It's not a bad album, but I think it's the weakest in the entire Morcheeba catalog, even though I haven't heard the latest one yet. It feels like a routine album. An overly generous review.
KC & The Sunshine Band The Best Of

There are several versions of the best of KC. Almost all of them contain the tracks I mentioned in the review. The other tracks are honestly skippable. It's an album that still holds up after all this time.
