UNTRACEABLE RECORD. BUT DAMN IT, WHAT SHITTY RECORD LABELS! SOMETIMES THEY REISSUE CRAP THAT I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE THEY FIND THE INSPIRATION FOR, AND THEN THERE ARE RECORDS LIKE THIS THAT GO TO WASTE IN THREE OR FOUR YEARS. AND THERE ARE OTHERS...
Donovan The Very Best Of Donovan
Voto:
Strangely, I too only have a greatest hits (not this one) and I think it's quite comprehensive regarding Donovan's career. Good but not exciting. For Maximo: if I remember correctly, as a manifesto LP, "Sunshine Superman" is almost always mentioned.
Garbo Gialloelettrico
Voto:
How sad to see Garbo read just 73 times and commented on only 2. He hasn't been followed for a couple of decades, but at least in the beginning, he was a good example of Italian new-wave. Only a few cats followed him, and I'm surprised he still wants to make music. Anyway, good for him.
Interpol Turn On The Bright Lights
Voto:
Great album. In my opinion, they give a run for their money to the Strokes, a band to which they are often inappropriately compared. The subsequent "Antics" is also nice.

I remember buying this record with high hopes. Unfortunately, they went up in smoke. A terribly boring album if not for a couple of songs. Some tracks seriously risk making my underwear too tight. Read "Incantations." And if one wants to be super alternative, well! then....
Claudio Baglioni Claudio Baglioni
Voto:
I think more or less like Grass. Baglioni, at least for a few albums, was acceptable. Let's say, just enough.
David Bowie Low
Voto:
A fundamental, if not historical, release is for sure. More complete and matured is the subsequent Heroes, where you find the monumental title track. It wasn’t the last turning point for the Thin White Duke, but it was certainly the most important one, the one that left a mark. However, my favorite Bowie remains that of the glam era. A review too poetic and stained by a serious mistake.
The Dolphin Brothers Catch The Fall
Voto:
I learn with (dis)pleasure from Socrates that this is the only record released by Dolphin Bros. I've always known that too, but in the chaos of music releases, it's easy for something to slip through the cracks. Thank you.

I admit I'm biased. How could I be otherwise given my nickname? But I really like this album, just like I enjoy a lot of what revolves around the planet David Sylvian. If it has a flaw (assuming it even is a flaw), it's the tremendously 80s sound which some might not appreciate.
Tim Buckley Goodbye And Hello
Voto:
Yes, perhaps it's true that it hasn't been excessively "re-evaluated." In fact, "Starsailor" and "Blue Afternoon" are hard to find. What I meant is that he enjoys immense respect and credit in the "cult" scene. In the commercial world, he was and remains a semi-unknown. In short, he's not appealing or marketable even today. Anyway, he was great. At least for a brief time, he was a great.
