Sigur Rós Takk...

And to think that the debut in 2000 was printed in a few copies that sold out quickly, making the CD irreperebile for several months. Now they are even fourth in Italy, and this album can be found in supermarkets. Mysteries of music and marketing.
Thievery Corporation The Cosmic Game

Record recently purchased but still not listened to. I really liked the two previous ones (Mirror Conspiracy and Richest Man of Babylon). Relaxing music, but sometimes you need some easy listening, and doing it with class like the TC is certainly commendable.

I've been putting off buying the K & D sessions for ages. I see it around often, but it costs a fortune; okay, it's double the price, but damn, I've even seen it for 27 euros. I don't know this one, but all in all, I think Cleo is right.
Morrissey You Are The Quarry

For a review like this, there are two possibilities: 1) It’s done solely to provoke; 2) The reviewer doesn’t like Morrissey and the Smiths. So I ask, why buy a Morrissey record when he’s been making more or less the same kind of music for over twenty years? By now, the reviewer should have understood that Moz is not for him.

Do you know how many have bowed and how many must bow to the king? As a solo artist, he’s done more trash than good records, but this, along with the debut from 1988, is a gem. If you liked Morrissey and the Smiths, this is an album to save; if Morrissey and the Smiths annoyed you, that’s another story.

Right now I don't have time to read all the posts. As soon as I have ten minutes, I read and then comment. Anyway, I don’t share Scaruffi’s views either, even though sometimes the anti-Scaruffi crowd gets overly excited about the umpteenth and then nth and then nth next big thing, which time eventually puts into perspective.
Devendra Banhart Cripple Crow

He may be a genius, Devendra Banhart, but to put it bluntly, he seems like a jackoff to me. I've only heard Rejoicing in the Hands... it's more than enough for me. Damn the day I bought it. And I even had to look around a bit before I found it.
The Alan Parsons Project The Turn Of A Friendly Card

A very mannerist occult group. Almost all their albums are of low musical thickness. Listenable and not much more. Anyway, this album comes before Eye In The Sky and not after. Just to be precise.

I still think the same way about Macca's debut solo album that appeared just a few days ago on this site. Unfortunately, his career separate from the Fab Four, while it hasn't questioned the entire work of the Liverpool four, has at least given a sense to Scaruffi's ramblings about them.

In comparison, Duran Duran are unmatched geniuses. Do we want to go further? Hmm... well, there could be... damn, I can't think of anyone. Suggestions are welcome.
