Primal Scream Beautiful Future
Voto:
If any newcomer is interested in getting closer to Primal Scream - which, in my humble opinion, they deserve - I would say that Screamadelica is their manifesto (Loaded is worth the ticket price by itself) and in second place, I would put Vanishing Point. A heartfelt thank you to all attendees.
Prince Controversy

Once, the reviews about Prince were written by Socrates, Ringo, Pugliamix (not that yours is any less, just a reminder of the once valid reviewers now in the background), and the comments were knowledgeable and focused. Now people come just to mess around. They don’t even know who Prince is.

@ Hell why don't you reply? Maybe just a nod, just to understand. Are you too busy with the lively discussion with contedesade?

I know very little about the artist in question (I wouldn't be able to get so enthusiastic about the artist from whom I took my nickname either), but considering the emotional investment with which you speak of them, I promise to fill this gap. Having looked at your profile a bit, I'd be curious to know your relationship and/or opinion about Italian music, of course sung in Italian. From the historic singer-songwriters to progressive, from punk to the posse, from new wave to the new bands of the nineties up to the contemporary scene. Are you too young? Am I asking too much?

Some time ago I saw Donahue on a television show. Either he had been drinking or he’s completely out of it. Amazing! Reading the review in Mucchio and this one makes them seem like two different albums. Who knows! Let’s really hope they’re on the mend because Secret Migration was truly little to write home about.

To put it in Fantozzi's words... this album is a crazy load of crap. There won’t be fifteen minutes of applause, but for me, it really sucks.

I take the liberty of intervening as a reviewer of the latest Portishead. Among other things, I am the only one, at least in here, who has spoken poorly of it. I received a ton of criticism, but I also found some who think like me. A few months later, my opinion hasn't changed. And I support Psycho when he says that beautiful albums don't come out anymore. However, I really like Fleet Foxes.

@Ghemison did you listen to the latest Portishead? Did you like it or what?

Look, I was so disappointed at the time of the release of Pre-Millennium that I haven't listened to it since. I expected a follow-up to Maxinquaye; instead, I remember it had very little in common. In any case, it's true, this trip-hop album has nothing in common, just like the last Portishead album is far from trip-hop as well.

The review is good, the album much less so. Every time a Tricky album comes out, we are reminded of that monument known as Maxinquaye, and expectations are inevitably high. The benchmark for any Kid's album, compared to his debut, is extremely punishing. In my humble opinion, he has not come anywhere near that album since. Listenable but nothing more. Rating: 6-.
