Absolute masterpiece of Italian pop music. No doubt about it!
7 tracks, 7 singles.
Yet back then there were the snobs... ah! yes, Battiato... in short...

It's true, it's a good debut, but I go against the tide and against criticism, and I prefer Dog Man Star. What comes next is just a mess.

Nice album, but not fantastic. For fans of David Sylvian, it’s certainly not a disappointment. It might be my personal fixation, but for me, albums should last between 40 and 45 minutes. This one clocks in at 58 minutes, which honestly feels a bit long, and sometimes it seems like there's a bit too much singing. Not to mention, the voice is always stunning, perhaps even improved with age. Nevertheless, one of the best albums of 2005.

Socrates is giving me the cold shoulder. Just like Crowded House have always been snubbed in Italy. "Try Whistling This" by Neil Finn is nice too, on its own.

For me, this is not an album... it's the album.

I knew there was Socrates. And how could it be otherwise.

Twist and turn, I bought it. Not only David Sylvian (whom I absolutely adore) but in general, I always look at the so-called "old" rockers with a certain skepticism. I read somewhere that the best comes at 20 years old. It's not a written rule, but many times it's the truth. Anyway, reading all the good written above and seeing his nickname, I couldn't resist the purchase. I'll listen to it in due time.

But you know I also played fantasy football for years. Lately, I haven't had the desire or time to keep up with it, so I gave it up. Also because, when I was playing, I was just picking up the crumbs. Every week, they scored ridiculous points that I couldn't even dream of.

I also liked Mimmo Cavallo. A breath of resurgence. How "old" we are.
