I also think that the masterpiece by Pulp is This Is Hardcore, and by far. What do you say, would you recommend it to me?
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark The Best Of
Voto:
Honestly, I expected something more from this album. Aside from Enola Gay, I only know two other songs among the eighteen here. I also thought I would have heard a few more, even just in passing. An honest album, without too many pretensions, but it does make me appreciate, yes, the best of the Human League, just to stick with early '80s synth-pop.
Japan Oil On Canvas

Even though I bear the title of leader, I do not own this record. I know quite a bit about Japan, but not everything. The beginning was indeed quite embarrassing, but the wings, David, he has hatched in his solo career.
Mike Oldfield Crises

You're right Thejokes, he heard it right on that MTV commercial. It's already commendable that at least he noticed it.

I Japan were born, if I remember correctly, around 1977/78. By 1982, they no longer existed. The last studio album, Tin Drum, is from 1981. For THE Jokes.
Lloyd Cole and The Commotions Rattlesnakes
Voto:
One of my forever albums. Lloyd Cole never achieved the success he deserved and today he is an almost completely forgotten figure, despite still being active. Besides this album, he has made some good music without the Commotions. I would point out "Don't Get Weird On Me Babe". However, it's undeniable that he showed his best with this extraordinary debut.

1982 was the year of my maturity and who could forget it? My daughter is thirteen years old and I try to guide her on the right path even though she doesn't have a great passion for music (damn it, she took after her mother). However, considering that in my house it's much easier (way easier) for the stereo to be on than the television, every now and then I manage to hit her with something positive. Pretty soon she'll enter her teenage years, and either she'll get even closer to music or I think I might lose her musically. Recently, she even got hooked on "More than a Feeling" by Boston.

Fascinated by Moonlight Shadow, my daughter begged me to buy her this CD. I complied, also because in my memories as a twenty-something there was Foreign Affair. Honestly, I find Oldfield's endless suites a bit hard to digest, otherwise it's so-so. Anyway, the idea of including a couple of catchy songs earned good old Mike some money that he hadn't seen since the days of Tubular Bells. My daughter teaches.
Prefab Sprout Protest Songs
Voto:
Great review, but I don't agree on the quality of the work. Unfortunately, the Sprout got trapped in Steve McQueen. Nevertheless, I seem to remember that this album was made with the leftovers from Steve McQueen. Listening to it makes you believe it.

Exhaustive. Thanks! But contemporary artists you like, are there none? Anyway, I'm also waiting for Lord.
