Prince Prince
Prince Prince

In the eighties, those at Rockstar had a reverence for Prince as if they had seen the Madonna. This made him, at the very least (to use a euphemism), an overrated character in my eyes. I've listened to a lot of Roger Nelson, but not everything. Sign of The Times, in my opinion, is his prized piece. The other works, aside from a few great singles...meh! But is it true that Prince is five feet two inches tall?
Grinderman Grinderman
Voto:
Both Mucchio and Rockstar have dedicated a cover to him. Personally, the last two albums by Nick have left me a bit perplexed. It might be that he’s in a bit of a decline, or it could be that he’s in a creative pause. He is certainly an artist of uncommon depth and quality. From the way you talk about it, I don't think this new work under the name Grinderman (by the way, horrible cover) will excite me. For now, it can wait. Finally, someone reviewing something current. Well done.

Huge album. 5 stars without a doubt.

@Mike76. :-)) I don't know if it's a song about incest. In fact, from the lyrics and considering the kinship, it might seem that way.

You reviewed a small gem in its genre, but this time it doesn't seem like you did it in the best way. I refer you to Socrates' review.
The Magic Numbers Those The Brokes

The album isn't bad, but it's not good either. Compared to the debut, the decline is quite noticeable. It's the curse of almost all bands today. Following a decent debut (for those few who manage to pull it off), there almost always comes an evident and gradual decline in inspiration. Rating: six minus minus, but quite stretched out.
Ryan Adams Gold

Just a nice little disc. Ryan Adams (a terrible name considering there's already someone named Bryan Adams; it would be like calling yourself Lara Pausini) gives the impression of being a half-genius who seems to waste some of his talent in a senseless hyperactivity. For example, this album lasts 70 minutes. If it had lasted 45/50 minutes, it would have certainly benefitted not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality.

Look, even my reviews (with a few exceptions) are micro-commented. I've seen all the names you've listed in your personal profile. Impressive. However, there are two giants missing: Bob Dylan and Neil Young. There may be others missing, but I consider these two absolutely essential. Okay, it’s a matter of taste, but still...

I support PaolinoPaperino.
Giorgio Moroder From Here To Eternity
Voto:
Vintage trash. I've always promised myself to buy something by Moroder, but every time I backtrack. A very controversial and debated genre that experienced a magical moment in real-time but then, after a few years, literally ended up in the trash before being moderately reclaimed in hindsight (even by the fiercest detractors). A bit like ABBA. Great review. One point less for the verbosity.
