But look... I absolutely don’t feel like arguing, and I could make my case in a thousand ways... I’ll just say that, for example, an album like 13 is proof of how one can transition from some basic brit-pop (even though Blur have always made much cooler tracks than Oasis and the like) to a type of rock that I would dare say is experimental and of excellent, truly excellent quality: tracks that start off in what I would call a classic way only to lead to an unexpected deconstruction... just to mention one.

everything you want... but the latest from Trent Reznor really sucks... this album is certainly not a 5, but there are some great tracks... and I have no problem saying that Damon Albarn, even if he’s not a genius, is still great... just like Trent Reznor, whose latest work still continues to suck...

it's all almost true..but Kids With Guns that you criticized is, for me, the best track on the album..

I find it an excellent album… it's also nice to see how (aside from the single, which though not being "Seven Nation Army" is still awesome) they didn't try to replicate the previous work that received so much positive feedback.

"easy is not drastic. I fully agree with him." But then you say with different words more or less what I was saying.. oh well..

But on this I agree. The fact remains that I found it less predictable than I thought. In short, it's a good album and not just catchy melodies (as they say). To explain myself better... if you found the first two pleasing, you would still have had some doubts given their style (I think we understand each other). And instead, I didn't find it as pale a copy of the first two as I would have imagined. There is something a bit different (within the limits that Coldplay can offer, of course) and a few things that are actually better than the previous ones. And since I think the first two were excellent albums in their genre, I won't deny that I'm positively impressed by this one as well. Then, it's clear that they are not revolutionaries in general. But that’s another story.
