Great Badalamenti knows how to capture moods and atmospheres like very few can; during the shooting of Blue Velvet, Lynch had the actors perform with his music playing in the background. And Straight Story is an excellent film; it's hard to tell a story like that without falling into the pathetic.

Hal, why are you bothering? I downloaded the album, I listened to it, and I tossed it in the trash, period, whether you believe it or not. I don't have to convince anyone that this album sounds like a parody of Guzzanti; I don’t have to write "take it easy" and "regards" even if I don’t mean it, I don’t take it seriously. Being verbose and pretending to be calm is useless, it’s counterproductive, it’s a waste of time. Maybe I'm wasting time right now too, but it’s Sunday and I have nothing to do. You shouldn’t confuse simplicity with stupidity, Hal. Simplicity is the key to life, but understanding it is difficult. I speak little, but those who want to understand me do.
