Kent Tillbaka Till Samtiden
Voto:
I’ve adored Kent since their early days (I was captivated back in the Isola era). I've really absorbed their second album "Hagnesta Hill," and probably their most chitarroso, rock side (tinged with pop) is my favorite (I also appreciate the symphonic sounds typical of albums like "Du & Jag döden"). I quite like the electronic inserts, as long as they don’t overly contaminate the sound, like in "Vapen & Ammunition," but in this work, I find the electronic shift excessive (even though this is still a good work, no doubt... And anyway, long live Kent, one of the best bands in the European scene considering the genre. Cheers and congratulations on the review!

Great band that in its own way marked a controversial musical era like the '90s. "Keep It Like A Secret" is my favorite work of theirs.

Thank you... by the way, in the meantime their second work has been released, titled "Mean everything to nothing", which takes a more guitar-driven turn and has rawer sounds; it's definitely worth a listen too!
Niccolò Fabi Solo Un Uomo

I share, I share, with this album Niccolò certainly rightfully rises to a significant singer-songwriter in a sometimes desolate Italian scene...

I heard that Snow Patrol were the opening act, which, to each their own, I don't find completely useless as mentioned in the review...
Amy Macdonald This Is The Life

At the time of the album, 19 years old, she wrote the lyrics and music for her songs... definitely not a manufactured Barbie like the entertainment industry is unfortunately full of!
The Bastard Sons of Dioniso L'Amor Carnale

Television or no television, in my opinion these three have a funny and cheeky attitude that is quite fitting in rock. It’s clear they’re not extraordinary, but the history of rock is full of examples of icons who, musically and vocally, weren’t remarkable but managed to perfectly interpret the era they lived in, achieving the success they deserved. And then... browsing their website, it seems that before X-Factor they did over 200 concerts in their local venues; at 22, that’s no small feat...
Matchbox Twenty Yourself or Someone Like You

I listened to Matchbox 20 quite a few years ago and I own their first three albums, among which the one reviewed is by far the best!

You are right... but mine was an attempt (perhaps unsuccessful) to pique the curiosity of the website users; sometimes listening is worth more than a thousand words...
