Atlanta, Georgia. Year 2005.

Five late-adolescent guys decide that it would be really nice to make music and maybe even earn a living from said activity.

And you know what I say? If they keep going like this, they will definitely succeed.

In 2006, in fact, they release "I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child", an electrifying debut album, suspended between sweet and romantic ballads and tracks that draw heavily from guitar-driven indie rock with keyboard inserts; American, of course... but they manage to sound damn European!

An added value to all this is the figure of Andy Hull; singer, guitarist, songwriter, and unquestionably the leader of the band (despite a not particularly charismatic image...). His voice is truly exciting and distinctive, able to adapt, almost to glue itself, to the various tracks of this album, often featuring intimate and introspective lyrics (wonderful in this sense "Don't Let Them See You Cry").

In short, a truly great album, starting from the title, a demonstration of musical maturity despite their young age... and at this point, there is nothing left but to congratulate them and eagerly await their future work because, in my humble opinion, it's not often that you come across bands that show so much promise!
