Regarding Experimental Jet Set Trash & No Star, I've only heard the magnificent "winner blues," "bull in the heather," and "androgynous mind." However, for Evol, a 5/5 seems too hasty... even though it's a nice album, Sonic Youth still haven't reached completion... and I have to be honest... I don't like the drums, too much 80s. In my opinion, that's the only real flaw of EVOL. Maybe I'm saying some big nonsense, but that's how I feel.
Zion, I'm waiting for your review of "bad moon rising." ;)

Yes, Zion. When I was only listening to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, I knew something was missing... and that something was the great sonic youth. As for Goo, it’s truly a fantastic album: dirty boots rightfully adds itself to the list of their classics.

Regarding Bad Moon Rising and Evol: I haven't listened to all of Bad Moon, but "Brave Men Run" is excellent, while "Death Valley '69" is simply stunning. I downloaded all of Evol, and it left a good impression on me. "Secret Girls" is nice, while "In the Kingdom #19" perhaps represents the best track by SY in an experimental context... I'd say that 4/5 is the right rating for both B.M.R. and Evol :)

I really love prog, I also like the LEDs and Pink, I need to listen to Grateful Dead more... anyway Katzen, I gotta be honest: regarding the '80s, I agree with you... besides Sonic Youth, I see the '80s in a very bad light... but progressive definitely deserves appreciation.
