Hate Forest should not be listened to when you're sad...

Dear Mr. wreck-it-all, do you know why I reviewed this album? Because it was the only one, after a very long time, that made me feel "different" sensations from what all the bands of the Darkthrone, Satyricon, Immortal & Co. era (not to mention all the various clones) had to offer. Hate Forest are DIFFERENT. Don't come to tell me that there's nothing more to say in black metal, because apparently that's not true, and this band (that's why I reviewed it) is a clear example of that. I recommend you listen to it to see if you share my opinion. I believe that Hate Forest is a clear invocation to hope for the future, and a true example that in a terribly static genre (and I agree with you on this) innovation can also emerge from those capable of practicing it. Shall we call it a miraculous band? Fine, they probably are (at least in my opinion). In any case, I want to remind you that (in my humble opinion) there are no musical genres created solely for stagnation, and innovation is an open field for everyone. The feelings I experienced with Hate Forest are ones I hadn't encountered before, yet I’ve listened to tons of Nordic black metal and had come to think like you, that everything had already been said. I was wrong.

Anyway, this is the third try, not the second!!! In fact, go listen to their first album which is amazing! I haven't listened to this one... And if it’s as bad as you say, I won’t.

Yes, however, I was mainly referring to the two anonymous ones. If you keep posting messages, I get a ton of notifications at home, please just stop, pretend this review doesn't exist. I wrote it a long time ago and I don't care about it anymore, I wish I had never written it.

Thank you, Giubbo. In any case, Lello, I know very well that 340 degrees below zero doesn't exist, on the contrary!!! I specifically chose a number even lower than -273 to emphasize the idea of cold, in the sense that if they reach 340 degrees (which indeed, do not exist), just imagine how icy their riffs are... I don’t know if I managed to explain myself...

What a shame, because the Avenged Sevenfold of Waking The Fallen were astounding. In fact, those from the previous album (Sounding The Seventh Triumph, which I reviewed myself) were even better... I wonder what this album is like then...

Please go and talk privately, or on another review. Do not post more messages on this page. I kindly ask you.

It’s worth noting that the cover of gentlemen resembles that of Siamese Dream by the Smashing Pumpkins due to the pair of children...

But is it true that the blonde cutie on the cover is the bassist's cousin?

Few examples are more illustrative of Siamese Dream in framing the entire 90s rock scene. Masterpiece.
