I never heard from you, but from your analysis and Caz's vote, it seems indispensable... I'll look for it.

heartfelt congratulations. Clear and interesting review for a proposal that attracts me and that I wanted to explore but didn't know where to start. Well done, Preta'! Furthermore, I would like to mention, regarding the rooting of the verb wave in "marginal" lands, the As Mercenarias: a female ensemble from Brazil. Nothing exceptional, but definitely enjoyable to listen to.

synthetic but effective. I think I've stumbled upon their myspace quite a few times, but in the end, I never delved deeper.

wonderful review. touching in its portrayal of Kamen: it reveals all the desperate struggle, both touching and ridiculous, of so many mediocre singers of whom Kamen is the progenitor and unreachable example (whether due to innocence and naivety). Jovannotti is a piece of shit, I completely agree with you. My girlfriend finds him likable, so I read and re-read your first paragraphs aloud to her. great job Mien.

I'm not entirely in agreement with everything. For example, I don't think it's such a revolutionary record; in fact, it feels decidedly anachronistic. If you think about it, it was released in '82, and there was much more revolutionary music around (Tuxedo Moon, Mission Of Burma, Killing Joke). Okay, the use of digital technology, but the music is intentionally retro. To put it bluntly: it's an album that perhaps liked fathers more than sons when it came out. However, that doesn't take away any value from the album, which is splendid and refined, romantic and nocturnal.

Sanremo fundamentally guarantees you an ephemeral and plastic visibility that soon disappears, leaving room for a significant drop in credibility in terms of both critics and the audience (not the ones who listen to the radio, but those who listen to records and go to concerts). Gazzè, due to his intelligence and talent, is one of the few who knows how to manage this swing well; his friend Niccolò Fabi had to stop going to Sanremo to build a serious career, while Daniele Silvestri finds it decidedly more challenging to reconcile all his participations in the festival with the image and intent of being an alternative singer-songwriter.

It seemed to me that I've been following Baustelle since before they were famous. @Orwell: of course, the fact that a talented artist goes to San Remo doesn't affect their work or my opinion of them (see Gazzè, whom I like). But I keep wondering why (what's the point?) to go to Sanremo in 2008.
