I care that Il_Paolo stops writing. How and why are none of my business.

I think it really took an eminent asshole like Il_Paolo to make (almost) all of us agree with Poletti.

The album by Elii is not bad, especially if one appreciates technique. But this album (and the other two I mentioned) have a real necessity (especially LLDCE). The others can only dream of it.
And to those who write, "Moreover, I have never tolerated pop that dresses up for the evening; it's music for the masses and of low quality in any case," I would recommend giving a good listen to masterpieces like Lucio Dalla (the self-titled album) or Tin Drum by Japan... I have rarely read more stupid comments. Thankfully, there’s Alessio to raise the IQ of the comments a bit; otherwise, one would really have to abandon this site immediately.

the votes (and sorry if the comment above has several typos: for example out-dace means out-dance). the review, although well-written, is based on assumptions (and tastes, it seems) that I completely disapprove of.

Well. Absolutely not a bad album, the problem with Baustelle is that they debuted with Sussidiario, and so we're all still here saying that they won't make another album like that. However, they've matured considerably here and have also embarked on new paths better than they did with the previous one (the out-dace coda of Baudelaire is fabulous and so is the cinematic country of Panico). Then there are some brilliant tracks: Baudelaire (with one of the most beautiful lyrics about art and the necessity of art released in recent years), the poignant L'Aereoplano, the wicked and twisted bossa nova of Dark Room, and especially Antropophagus ("ladies and gentlemen, their eternal spinning like a lamb in the kebab" this phrase alone is worth entire discographies). I won't elaborate further because I've already shared my thoughts in chat and in other reviews. Just this album, along with Ghostwriters by 24 Grana and the debut of LDCE, is stable in my podium of Italian music from 2008.

But why have I only seen the least beautiful films by Altman?! Damn it! I’ll call the mule and get things rolling right away.

It drives me crazy. I don’t find it at all so unlistenable or “difficult,” on the contrary, it’s an incredibly compelling album!
