Pharrell In My Mind

In my opinion, there is no comparison between Timbaland and Pharrell. The things I’ve heard from the former have never convinced me (and for example, I find the production on the new single by Nelly Furtado awful). Unfortunately, I only have Sade's Lover's Rock: really nice in blending rather sunny trip-hop and acoustic instruments.

if I hear the Cure, that's my business (and anyway I do hear them, at least a little). rather, where do you hear the noise in this record... I'm waiting for your replies.

but who gives a damn about the Gun Club (which was founded by Pierce and Powers), in the Cramps Kid Gongo replaces B. Gregory and I never said he was the founder. their debut, okay, is in New York, but both Lux and Poison and Brian are from Detroit. and as for the wave, it's not a genre but a movement to which the Cramps chronologically belong (not for nothing do they debut at CBGB, unanimously recognized as the American temple of post-punk and new wave)... the news about the drummer/percussionist is taken from the online encyclopedia Scaruffi, as you can easily look up for yourselves.

Pharrell with his jazzy-sensual majesty Sade??? I’m waiting for de-information (as well as de-clarifications) about this featuring...

But then you're stubborn. He produces everything here; it's not like he goes shopping for beats from other beatmakers, it's just that he also raps and collaborates with people who aren't exactly great. One could say that the biggest flaw is precisely the cast. I don't know, I would have entrusted the lyrics to someone else (MF Doom, Doseone, Mos Def, Kelis, Andre 3000, etc..) but then the album would sell half.

very interesting dear Odra! I'll try to get it as soon as possible... come on, let’s skip the blog and focus directly on creating a new newspaper, maybe starting online and then possibly going paper. I'm not joking; I've been thinking about it for a while...

well, I'm alternative too (in my shopping bag with this were Mass Romantic by the New Pornographers and Liquid Skin by Gomez, so not exactly the height of mainstream...) but that doesn't mean I run away from what’s most fashionable. by the way, all the beats here are from good ol’ P, of course he couldn’t afford to make an album of just instrumentals, he’s not Madlib, come on...

The new album has been released, the debut if we don't count this introductory remix collection for the collective.
