Fantastic Sanjuro! I agree with you about Grohl and Novoselic (but you could have given Chris a six...). As for Cobain, I can't stand him. You’re right about all points regarding Nirvana’s music. When it comes to grunge in general, I’d say a bit less, even though I'm the first to admit it’s quite traditionalist. "Dave Grohl: I'm a fucking genius."
Your sister... " ahahahahahahahah....

I'm listening to them now... Can you believe I downloaded them while I was writing about Don Byron and burning the Basement Jaxx? My computer didn’t know where to turn (or rather, the processor). Anyway, I quite like them... The singer, so-so.

but they will be suitable in all eras precisely because of the themes they address... there will always be someone who, in the throes of spleen, will turn to this record... then maybe they will abandon it, but in the meantime, these unknown pleasures will have changed their life.

I totally agree with you about the role of the bass; it creates anguish and a sense of desperate anticipation... but it's really the production that doesn’t convince me, that's all. And, as I told you, I prefer New Order also because they are less dark and depressing... come on, I listen to JD every now and then... but the same goes for Pornography... it's too harsh (not in terms of sound, but in terms of emotion).

great quote for a great review (I even rhymed...)! heartfelt congratulations, I’ll see if I’ll listen to something... you’re making me reconsider metal with these recent reviews.

Then if I can listen to an entire album and you can't, it's just a matter of taste... All personal opinions, right? @Pretazzo: yeah, I know, but the sound is so bare it doesn't quite convince me (I think I prefer New Order to Joy Division)... Listen to the live at Les Bains Douches and tell me again if that guitar (not Ian Curtis) isn't angry and piercing.
