What the fuck is punk? An attitude as well as a very, very limited musical genre. In fact, as a thought, it expands and incorporates vastly different currents, while as music, the bands that are truly and exclusively punk are few.

Fuck. I don't compromise on the Clash. If you want to be right, fine, otherwise listen up. The Clash started as a punk band and we all agree on that. Then they expanded their horizons, and with London Calling they moved away from punk to almost completely eliminate it from their sound with Sandinista. In this album, there's rock'n'roll, funky, soul, reggae, dub, post-punk, disco music, proto electroclash, and more.

Did I say that? I don't remember, but it could be. Well... Queen are pompous, baroque, and excessive. Punk is dada, essential, and nihilistic. The two things are more or less at opposite ends.
