Well, I didn't really like Sin City much, and in the end, I didn't appreciate the comic too much either... but it's true, as an adaptation it is very faithful, and therein lies the problem: it's too faithful and stumbles over the same issues as the comic, namely, a bland and predictable script, with a few holes as well. In my opinion, Nolan's first Batman is a good adaptation: it respects Miller's Year One and lightens it from continuity, projecting it into contemporary times without belittling or distorting it. Now that I think about it, the most successful adaptation is 300. While Spider-Man 2, in my opinion, is very faithful to the mood of the old Spidey, even though the story goes a bit off on its own.

What do King Crimson have to do with this? No, is there any album of theirs where David sings?

I had forgotten the vote, above. Anyway, Neu, I'm still waiting for a response. Do you really have the truth in your pocket? Will you sell me a little?

Happy birthday Isi!!! Even if it's late. @Cpt: yeah, I know I missed the vote... but I’d still like to revisit the topic: not graphic novel, but FUMETTO. The term graphic novel implies conforming to another medium that has nothing to do with comics; it's just a term created for selling, for commercial needs. So in reviews like this one, the one on Maus and all the others that will come on comics, it would be nice if no one used the terminology graphic novel, but rather emphasized the importance of calling these works by their real name without the need (media, commercial) to mediate through terminological hybridization to give a value that comics as a medium doesn't need at all. Additionally, I would like to respond to S4doll, with whom I usually agree, that if The Crow movie is "one of the best cinematic adaptations" then, putting two and two together, the comic must not be much. Just kidding, bye bye...

As Max Stefani once wrote: "when I see the Negrita on stage, I always fear that that brute Pau will come down and headbutt me." Other than that, they've never really convinced me much.

So Neu, you have the truth in your hands. Wouldn't you sell me a little bit? No, because I just ran out of weed.

Did you know they just reprinted it, the folks at Panini? I was reading the review on Comicus earlier and I was thinking, I wonder if it's worth it or not... then I come here and find yours and you even say that the film made you crap yourself (it did for me too, a lot) so I told myself that I really have to read this comic. I would give you a 5 but I take off a point because I can't stand the term "graphic novel."
