please, read and reread Hardrock92's comment... if you think Pezzali has deep lyrics, I would really like to know what you would say about De Andrè, Ciampi, Godano...

just the opposite of when we used to say all together with the necessary differences. maybe you need to get used to it, it's not something that comes immediately (even Schizoid Man is quite a hit). and come on... definitely not the E,L&p. try, I don’t know, with Genesis (god, I don't like them, but it's a personal idiosyncrasy) or go crazy directly with Third... long live Wyatt!!

It depends. I've been here for a few years, and when I first arrived, I hated prog. Over time, I opened up to this type of music. Maybe in the past I filled prog reviews with silly and provocative phrases. But fundamentally, who has said anything to you? What do I know about you? Nothing, but I'm not telling you to shut up. And if I do, I have my reasons. Besides, I hold no grudges. With this chapter closed, if I catch you in another review, I couldn't care less about the fights here or in other places. Unlike you, who seems to carry a lot of resentment...

@GiovanniNatoli: why is my post insufficient? This isn't a provocation from me, I'm really curious and even criticisms, if justified, are welcome. @Bjork: what the hell do you know about what I know?!

suites, overtures... are all structures of classical-classical music. Something that, as early as the 1900s, was being surpassed by many composers like Satie or Stockhausen and the dodecaphonic company... then my comment referred only to a phrase from the review; it was absolutely not my intention to criticize prog groups (at least not all of them). Also because the most valid of these transformations have taken into account (see the Germans mentioned by Bjork and the Soft Machine), while the more baroque and kitsch ones have not (like for example E,L&P). In my opinion, In The Court is perfectly halfway between these two concepts, and perhaps that is why it is so seminal...

Dear Progressive, who was talking about the last thirty years? Russolo? Varese? Moog? Terry Riley? Minimalism as a whole? And only then, subsequently, electronics as we understand it now... come on, the fact remains that prog isn't contemporary in its reliance on medieval/fantasy themes, in its adherence to a musical classicism that is very operatic/nineteenth-century. The discussion falls apart if we bring in the Soft Machine, but they are so ahead that I would almost consider them contemporary only in the 3000s...
