@Quello-Che-Mi-Vuole-Bene: I find it ridiculous to celebrate certain anniversaries. And I find soccer patriotism ridiculous. My comment was clearly a provocation and was related to Bisius's comment. I did not offend you and you did it quite heavily, but I'll leave it alone. Besides, if the French national team is full of billionaire jerks, I couldn’t care less since I don’t have to put up with them every moment everywhere (TV, newspapers, the internet…). Moreover, I always cheer for the underdogs, so I repeat, GO FRANCE (but also go Ghana, Mexico, Trinidad, etc...).

@SorcioPeloso: I would have avoided writing the review and that's that, then it's just a matter of taste.

oh, sorry if I touched your blues who won the Cup last year despite not deserving it. sorry if I disturbed your DEEP PATRIOTIC FEELING. sorry if I find football disgusting and even more a national team of overpaid idiots. sorry if I think it's pointless and excessive to celebrate such victories still a year later. sorry...

Well, I'm neither a metal enthusiast nor a huge fan of the Beatles, but this album has always drawn me in. Maybe it's the cover... but the review could have discussed the music a bit more, don't you think?

I was thinking the same... what do you think? Can I do it even if she has never listened to one of their albums all the way through?

I don't know his solo career, but he was the perfect counterpart to Ferretti in CSI. Perhaps I even prefer him vocally to Donà. The review is well... so-so. It might be the first, but repetitions shouldn't be made anyway (and this is a basic rule of writing in Italian, not just for reviews). Nevertheless, I found it quite intriguing. Bye...

And honestly, it's not even a 1. I would actually say that, dear Gonzo, you spoke better than about much worse films than this.

Well, Poletti, this is the attempt of an excellent director to make a European gangster film (but not French) that pays homage to all the best previous ones, especially American. If you pay attention, it's a continuous re-proposing of archetypal situations (but it's not about copying, just citing and reworking in a big gangster melting pot). The plot is indeed very thin and almost surreal in the lightness of how certain developments are treated. Yet, the film convinces with the solid hand with which it is directed, certain anthology scenes (notably the final shootout and the massacre of Matilda's family at the hands of Oldman), and the excellent performers (Jean Reno will never reach these heights again, but how adorable is he when he tries to imitate John Wayne?!). In any case, it’s not a film worth a 1, absolutely not. It may not be original, but it's beautiful and knows how to entertain (and not just that, as in the end, we all get a bit emotional when Leon blows himself up). The review isn’t the best; it seems it doesn’t highlight the film's best aspects and sticks to a superficial and misleading reading. For example, I really don’t see the seedy neighborhoods of New York; rather, it’s clear the reconstruction is done by a European: I mean, do you really think NY is that quiet?!
