Oh, I would have never said I'd find a review of this album. I've been listening to it a lot in the last few days and I'm really fascinated by it. I pretty much agree with your review and also with the rating that you rightly did not give. It's a very challenging album, much more than Pan(a)Sonic; maybe it's the complete lack of beat that unsettles me. At the same time, I often feel a need to listen to it again and completely immerse myself in its distortions.

When this film was released, everyone was waiting to see how Hanson would perform after the marvel that was LA Confidential and, well, in my opinion, there is a bit of a difference but not too much (much better than the subsequent 8 Mile): this is a good film, enjoyable and literary with some pearls of wisdom and many great actors.
