I can’t bring myself to read everything you write, no, I just can’t handle all your bullshit gossip, various interviews, when the stoner was born... all crap that I’d gladly leave behind. Competing over who can name more or less obscure bands doesn’t interest me at all... but when will you free yourself from all your nonsense and truly start to "listen" to the music??? I could tell you weren’t doing badly from the things you say and how you say them (but at least try to share the true news), as far as I’m concerned, I haven’t read specialized magazines for years, and hearing you talk makes me very happy with the choice I made...
Ah, I almost forgot, two clarifications: the second Unida album (which was indeed ready) wasn’t released due to the contract breakup between Sony and the other label whose name I don't remember, and J. Garcia lives quietly as a veterinarian, not as a musician; everything you say about Garcia is irrelevant. You know beforehand that a record like the one by Unida is going to sell a damn thing, such a record can't sell, and who gives a damn, do we care? I like it! Not that I want to defend it (from what, anyway?), just imagine, I’m currently enjoying "40 Inch. Creepers," an explosive American band that your specialized magazines surely don’t mention, so rush to their site, listen, then come back here and flaunt all your pseudo sonic knowledge gathered here and there, you'll see that some 18-year-old girl will be impressed since it remains one of your fixed obsessions...!
I am drinkin', I am rollin' (you can't stop me)
I am hidin', I am runnin' (you can't stop me)
But I'll never forget you anyway

x murmur: if you read in the notes, it says that the drawings are all by LaCampo, and since the style is identical, I assume that the cover is also his...

"...Music is also a business, and a true musician manages to have a global vision of both..." This is really bullshit from someone who doesn't understand music at all!!!!
I prefer John Garcia, lost with his wife and little son in the desert, and every now and then he pops up to release healthy and honest rock'n'roll records. Listen to Hermano, at least there you can feel the soul...

the cover is always by LaCampo, indeed the illustrations inside are very beautiful. Every now and then I choke on nostalgia and then I scatter it like confetti...who knows if anyone will pick them up...a beautiful album, to be listened to only in particular states of mind...

c- ..I still don’t understand (I know it’s not that serious for humanity) why you get so upset with the Interpol and Franz Ferdinand: if you ask me to respect the people who enjoy listening to this Patton album (which is completely fair!!!), I don’t understand why you feel the need to discredit these bands every time we talk about totally different music. It's not that I particularly like them; in fact, I can't stand Franz Ferdinand, but since they evoke emotions in many people, I don't understand your persistent criticism (and anyway, this isn’t really that serious, is it???). And since you don’t know what to buy, I on the other hand have the opposite problem: there are a bunch of things I would love to have, but my finances don’t allow it, is there any chance you could lend me a little something??? Hey, just so you know, I’ll return everything, no worries...

b- I like Punk: I grew up with guitar, bass, drums, and spitting blood on stage. Punk is not metal; it's schematic (at least the more classic one). Punk is anarchy, not just as a lifestyle but also musically. It's hard to say where punk begins and where it ends, precisely because, in its conception, it imposes no limits whatsoever. Punk is a mental attitude, that attitude that allowed bands that couldn't even play an instrument to engage thousands of people and make them jump to the music (back then, if you weren't a master, it was unthinkable). Unfortunately, today there are myriads of bands that play punk but have not a damn thing to do with punk, and on this, I agree with you!!!

No, no, we’re not there yet!!!! At least I agree with some points, but on certain things you’ve misunderstood.
a- I didn’t say I don’t like the experimental genre; on the contrary: I only said that experimentation done by taking a piece of rap, randomly throwing in a snippet of symphonic music, and then adding the choir of the Bavarian orchestra with a sampled voice of Caetano Veloso, and to top it all off, the farts of Ignazio La Russa after a meal at Adolf’s tavern, well, if you allow me, that’s not experimentation! It will definitely make you say “no way…come on… I didn’t expect that!”, but if you really want to experiment with the brain, that’s a whole other thing. However, don’t misunderstand me; I’m not saying Patton is on this level, but in these albums, I think he’s not giving his best, as I said before, he’s in a transitional phase. Besides, he can afford to churn out an album a day; after all, he doesn’t pay for it himself—his name would sell anything (and maybe even more than Franz Ferdinand)....

...and as for my father, he doesn't even know who Zappa is; instead, he has all the records by Castellina Pasi. Anyway, I've never called him a loser for that because I've long since stopped judging people based on their musical tastes (if you haven't already, I recommend "High Fidelity" by Nick Hornby; it's a great book). On the other hand, I've called him an asshole for a bunch of other things...
