...even the lambrusco? ...wow....I'll reserve about ten copies for you...but it has to be the good stuff, okay?

I was saying: but forget about the simples, who said you have to buy it? The Miss used this word as a euphemism, indeed, a metaphor.

No, the samples in this case wouldn't work. Get the album and try to love it, you’ll see that you won’t regret it. Then do whatever you want...

Just because it sounds definitive, I don't like it. Nothing can be more boring than something definitive, and this album isn't; the fact that even after a year new vibes are still being received proves that. I've had it for a few years, and now my listening experience is very different from when I bought it, which means everything is in a state of perpetual transformation, even personal tastes. Without any polemical tone of course... not on August 12th...

My dear Miss, these are things that should not be shared with the masses; they are secret pearls to be cherished, to be discovered slowly on your own or with trusted people, just like when you savor these records on the couch, perhaps with someone you resonate with, and when the music becomes one with everything around you (and this record does just that), it means you've arrived... anyway, if you've come to appreciate it in headphones, it means I have nothing to teach you and that you've already found your path, my dear Miss ;-)

I have "Relaxing With The Heads" on vinyl and unfortunately, it's been a long time since I last listened to it, damn it! "Everybody..." is a really great album, but if it took you a year to appreciate its value (which grows over time), it means you aren't using the right substances. Let me clarify: listening to this music in particular mental situations (which doesn't necessarily mean being high on various drugs) helps a lot. The sound of those distorted guitars is beautiful; it's the sound that all the guitars in this world should have. It's a shame because some sonic trips end too soon; if they lasted just a minute longer, it would have truly been the perfect album... for those who like the genre, of course.

I wouldn’t want to start a list that would be boring, but in those years there are still bands coming from the early 80s that are not part of Albini’s circuit. Randomly, I can mention Sonic Youth, who have always had quite a few discussions with Albini; this is not to undervalue Albini’s figure (which remains great), it’s just that when a concept is made absolute, there’s a risk of being misunderstood.
x odradrek: bondi as in spokesperson, don’t stretch it too much ;-)
