Quo Vadis Defiant Imagination

Good review...unfortunately, you mentioned Dream Theater, so I'm deducting a point...since the musicians' technique is a blend of the best of the brutal death scene and the technical style so popular in the mid-nineties...I would exclude the plastic and gratuitous showiness of DT from the outset...I prefer Necrophagist for certain aspects, but in others, definitely them...Silence Calls The Storm is truly a masterpiece of a song...another gem is certainly the (brutal) psychedelic Break The Cycle...the rating would be an 8...I prefer Day Into Night at 8.5...inside, there are truly brilliant touches of exquisite taste mixed with melodeath thrashy riffing with Carcass-like vocals...Forever is a bit hard for me to digest, maybe it's excessively underground for my tastes...
Paolo Fresu Live @ Dokkuset Trondheim 30.11.07

Fresu is exceptional...
Diamond Head Borrowed Time

This is not a masterpiece at all...two tracks stolen from the first exceptional album...and the other tracks are definitely below even the bonus tracks of the remaster of Lightning To The Nations.
Skanners Pictures Of War

You forgot to mention that the Skanners missed the chance to break through... and then they released 2 albums over the course of 15 years... now their fifth is coming out...
Trivium The Crusade

I prefer...better to try to emulate the fathers with dignity rather than remain in the rabble...
The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works

However, the King Crimson-esque piece is a spectacle... I raise the score just for that, which is worth 2 points...

They uploaded the tracks on myspace... all of them... what should I say if I'm completely fucked up grind-post-hardcore messy... with no free-jazz interludes... I hate it and there’s nothing more to evaluate...

I listened to it streaming...we're far from Calculating Infinity and Irony Is A Dead Scene...Pure chaos with less reasoning...
Led Zeppelin How The West Was Won

Arrived late by many years, but definitely a worthy rival of Made In Japan...
