Metallica St. Anger

In addition to the poor sound of the drums, there are the solos that aren't there (okay, that's already been discussed), and James's voice, which I love to bits, isn't on par with the others in this album. That's what I didn't like. Plus, there was the disappointment because the Metallica are "so piezz e core" for me, and the fact that the day after I bought the CD, I had to go to my boyfriend at Capo Kino and say, "yes, it's true, St.Anger sucks."

Everything that isn't metal, just like metal, can be good or suck or be mediocre; it all depends on how it's done and tastes. I said that Load and Reload are good albums, it's just that they are not metal but rock, is that false? You said they suck, but I’m particularly attached to Reload because it was the first Metallica album I bought (oh, my 15 years!). St. Anger, on the other hand, literally disgusts me, not because of the genre, but because of how it’s played, especially the drums; it annoys me, I get a headache listening to it (and even a stomach ache) compared to St. Anger, any Morbid Angel album sounds melodic. The sound is empty, as if there were just a child banging a wooden spoon on a pot.

I don't like Evanescence, but St. Anger is an album that really disappointed me, so much so that I prefer Evanescence... it's like saying: between shit and piss, I prefer piss. That's all, anyway I'm happy for Metallica that someone still appreciates what they "produce" since I haven't been able to do that for a while. I can listen to Load and Reload thinking of Metallica as a good rock band (of course no longer metal), but I just can't tolerate St. Anger. If I hadn't paid 21 euros for it, I would have already thrown it out the window. How sad... :(

Mr. Bungle, maybe you want to say that the ending of "all within my hands" sucks more than the entire discography of Evanescence!

The only pros are the DVD, which sounds better than the CD, and Robert Trujillo (also from the DVD), who is really a good addition, and now he’s the only one with long hair, and metal bands are like Samson; once they cut their hair, they’re worth nothing anymore!

The surprise comes when you open it... at first I thought it was a Cradle of Filth CD (may the gods save me from Dany Filth: my brother listens to them every damn day!), in disbelief I closed the CD and the cover was still Metallica's. That winged, tied-up, greenish creature is too much in the style of that kind of black-death-metal for teenage satanists group like Cradle!!! But, surprise of surprises, the Metallica (or whoever for them) continues to amaze me; seen in full, the image on the back is a red zombie, complete with tartar on its teeth, which wouldn’t have been strange to see on an Iron cover. A TOTAL DISASTER.

I want to focus instead on something purely aesthetic, yet very significant: the cover, the inside of the CD, and the back. I find the cover to be spot on, very "metallic": the string that ties the arm brings back (with much nostalgia) And Justice For All and makes one think of a return to the old style, albeit "modernized," evolved or devolved but still to the old style. In fact, there is something in the sound, but more than anything else, it seems to me like a group of inept individuals pretending to be Metallica to mock them.

This album has been a real trauma for me; I can't listen to more than 2 songs from it. I'd rather listen on repeat to the entire discography of Slipknot for 2 consecutive days! And to think I even bought the limited edition with the DVD!!! I don't want to comment on it from a musical perspective (nu merdal) because it hurts me to put down my beloved Metallica, but how can anyone say that this stuff is better than Load and Reload??? O_o

Sorry, 2 more lines, right?

Sorry, sorry, sorry!!! I got a bit confused because a friend of mine passed me the Sonata Arctica and another group that I can't remember and the other group really sucked and I thought they were them. Now I checked and no, the Sonata Arctica are nice, even though it's still not my genre.
