Great review, and the product seems excellent too, although I would be cautious about giving 5 stars lately. True MASTERPIECES haven't come out in a few years, so for now, I'll limit myself to a maximum score of 4, waiting for an album that gives me that impulse to say, "Damn, here's the masterpiece I've been looking for"! :) Have I been talkative? Yes, I know...sorry...

great record, I listened to it more than willingly. I have the original, and the best part is that it was sent to me without me even asking for it... :) (P.S.: thanks kosmo!)

Dear Giov, given the names you mention, I don't think I'll listen to it... you surely have something better to recommend me.
Manic Street Preachers The Holy Bible

useless and superfluous attack on Blur and Oasis. I like both them and the Manics; they have always made great music, each with their own unique characteristics.

disappointment for me. sufficient, but nothing more. I promise I will listen to them again, but not now...

not a bad album, quite similar to the rakes in some ways.

We're not there. Great album, the third in terms of magnitude after the first two. The only dull tracks are "love like a bomb" and "the meaning of soul." "Turn Up the Sun" is a great piece, "Mucky Fingers" deserves recognition even if it plagiarizes the VU, and everything else is very enjoyable and well above average. The English press almost always gets it wrong, but here we have a big comeback.
P.S.: What was the point of doing another review on DBTT??? Is the goal perhaps to reach 10?
Babyshambles Down In Albion

Listening to the album, I've come to some conclusions: Doherty has almost exhausted all the genius he had, and especially the drummer is outstanding. Today I listened to the album again, focusing only on the drumming parts, and they are awesome (especially in "Fuck Forever" and track number 5). Out of 16 songs, I save 4 (the first two, "Albion," and the last one; "Albion" is a little gem...).
