In fact, this is the first album by Sophia that I’m listening to. They told me that the one before this is much better.
But I don’t know if I’ll borrow it at this point...

x sere e G__à: so, first of all, I notice the gallantry in not voting on a review you don't agree with. However, I think you're being a bit biased with this group. I mean, it's clear that it's a group you're quite passionate about (it's the same as if I went to review any Oasis album or the new Libertines, knowing beforehand that I would absolutely love it).
I want to say, we need to look at things with detachment and objectivity: this is a good album (I repeat, it's a good album) but it's definitely not a masterpiece and yes, it is heavy (swept back, desert song 2, another trauma are real boulders).
These are my personal opinions, then you do what you want....haloa.

I mostly agree with everything. Oh my, I would give it a 3/5 since I like this softer twist of theirs (I didn't like science much, but I liked morning view more...). The fact is that they seem to want to reach the level of the recent red hot chili peppers... which isn't exactly a great thing.

Well done. Nice words to describe the album.
I hate Battiato.

Ah Ah Ah, sorry Silvia but I couldn't help but laugh. Look at those little whores wagging their tails dressed in Versace right now; believe it or not, they are actually the perfectly healthy jets. A carefully crafted look (in every interview THERE HAS TO BE someone drinking beer and burping, and so on), even worse statements ("We love wearing used clothes, we don’t care about anything, we’re just Rock'n'roll"). I've said everything I needed to say about the sound in the review, and soon they'll be throwing the album at you even in toy stores.

It's not that I snub them, for heaven's sake, it's just that I don't like "the direction" they've taken. I mean, I don't like the direction their electronic sound has taken. I’m crazy about Notwist, Sophia, Grandaddy, and I also like Cooper Temple Clause and unkle (all kinds of sounds, some more electronic than others, different from each other), but kid A does nothing for me (even Thom Y. himself declared he made an album just for him). Even less so Amnesiac (except for a few nice gems like knives out) and even less Hail. They’re trying too hard to be difficult because they know that whatever they release (even an album of fart sounds) critics and the public will always praise them. They've become idols regardless and that annoys me. Bye

Thank you for the explanation. The first QOTSA album is indeed good (even though for all the songs it feels like there's this huge fan blowing behind the bassist that annoys me every second on every track). I've never listened to Kyuss because I've never been interested in this type of music; there's no specific reason why, though.
