Look, Cliff, it depends on whether you're fed up with this music or not... I mean, if you usually don't listen to pop rock like Oasis, Supergrass, Stereophonics, Rolling Stones, etc., you can rest assured that you'll quite like it. Honestly, I can't stand this genre anymore; I've been into it since '94.

Well done, Cliff! Finally, your evolution into a Super Saiyan reviewer is complete!

In my opinion, Fosca could talk about any album in twenty lines. It doesn’t matter how much... but how.

So, dear kosmo, I believe you already know how I feel about your review, given that we have very, very similar tastes; I would even say we think the same way about many groups.
However, this time, I agree with humax: I’ve never liked such long reviews, and I've never read them well (or until the end) on de-baser.
The fact that it might be a "historical-biographical" review doesn’t matter much to me because, as you also mentioned, sometimes the history of a group teaches more than simply describing the songs of the album.
In this case, I’m giving you a thumbs down for the length and the "freshness" (I didn’t know how else to phrase it) not expressed as you usually do.
A big pile of stuff like this is something I would expect from others...
Anyway, you are always amazing... actually cosmic!!

Alright, this morning I'll put it in the player again to see if I like it a bit more... but just because it's you... okay???

Well done, damn it!
Even though I completely disagree with the fact that Homme's voice, from what I have at home from QOTSA, is not whiny (sometimes it sounds like he's constantly being kicked in the balls...) Anyway, this so far is your best.

I know Livio, it’s really heavy, but I just didn’t like it at all.
Okay, the lyrics, maybe, even though they are too dark and apocalyptic in every song, are worth saving... but it’s just not enough.

So, first of all, welcome from me too!!!!
Then good job and congratulations on the review, which is clear and straightforward (even though comments like "the muse really suck" were unnecessary, because, even if I fully agree with your opinions, it's still your personal judgment. As a reviewer, you should stick to explaining why as a band they don't amount to much...)
And then check if the review has already been done (there were even 2 of this one!!!)
If you want to tell me to fuck off for all these repeats, go ahead (Iko would have definitely done it to you in a day!!!)

It took me a while to get into this album because I had quite a few prejudices.
1) As soon as I heard it, I wanted to turn it off halfway.
2) By the second listen, I liked it a lot more.
3) Now I think it's really beautiful and varied: the genre is quite particular (a kind of Mars Volta + Incubus + Pearl Jam???) well, I don’t know but it's a nice mix.
4) The Noose is stunning.
5) The downside is that it's hard to understand where the songs want to go; I mean, it's not clear what direction they take until the end (some bands have built their fortune on this, but here it hasn't worked particularly well).
6) In conclusion, really beautiful but not album of the year.
