You write very well: the images you describe speak for themselves and make the concepts clear. Unfortunately, I believe Ryan Adams is one of the most overrated artists in recent years. Rock'n'roll is just an average album and it was received really well. Love Is Hell is beautiful, introspective, and well-produced but it was hailed by the press as a rock masterpiece (which it is definitely not). Now, I don't know how this one sounds, let alone cold roses, but one thing I'm sure of... Ryan Adams is giving someone important in the music industry a hell of a lot of favors.

I’ll be honest with you… I don’t even really like it, but as an opening, it doesn’t seem bad. Of course, maybe if in the next review you don’t write some kind of small preachy prayer that seems to want to be super deep when in reality it’s just music, that would be better. But it’s clear that you know how to write. I don’t know… we’ll see in the future…
