How beautiful, damn it!!! The first "ferocious critiques" of one of my reviews after at least a year!!! Fantastic!! You must really care about Mr. Doherty!!
For mikornr: How can you even think something like that? And then there are those who, thanks to some not-so-legal substances, have managed to produce entire masterpieces (I refer you to the discussion in my review on Syd Barrett, who, by the way, was much more into drugs than Doherty, but I wouldn’t dream of harshly criticizing him for being a junkie)
x Charles: As soon as I get my hands on you, I’ll beat you and Sean Paul to a pulp. Make sure to lock yourself in tight tonight!!! But above all, get moving on making me that CD you know about!!!
x Massimof: Thank you. I already knew your tastes were excellent when it comes to reviews ;D))

For the first anonymous: Maybe listen to the album first and then come here to discuss and decide afterwards if the review is based on a preconception or not. Consider that back in the days of Up The Bracket, I thought the Libertines were the best English rock band. Now the situation has changed: the music written by Doherty is terrible (and you could already sense the decline from the second album); whether he does drugs or not is really his own business, I couldn’t care less. But fundamentally, the album is indeed embarrassing for a musician. I'm pretty sure that Carl Barat, even though he’s another idiot like his friend, will make a slightly better album: he has selected musicians who know how to play an instrument and are almost always sober. P.S. It's not like if you sign your name I'm going to send a punitive expedition to your house...don't worry.

Thank you for the kind recommendation, wrecking reviewer. I’m very pleased that, perhaps thanks to you, for some time now formal cordiality has been used on Debaser, an approach unknown to most not too long ago. I also read with pleasure this proposal of yours. P.S. The reviews written by your kind self, so grammatically knotted, often end up leaving me with an enormous question mark on the back of my neck and I lose sight of the content of the musical work. Please don’t take it the wrong way, as I still consider you a person of great respect and with a lovely yellow envelope over your eyes. Cordial de-sunday salutations.

Progressive rock?!?!? Is this a joke?!?!
I’ve listened to it more than once, but I just can't find anything good in it except for the opening single: a nice pop-rock song that, however, you can’t stand after four listens. Love Is Here is unbeatable. The Starsailor started as an acoustic "boring band" and when it comes to being whiny, they are absolutely the best. When they don’t fit into the acoustic, slow framework of their debut, they fail miserably in my opinion. Brutally rejected and categorized with the biggest disappointments of the year alongside the latest from Nada Surf, Supergrass, Cocorosie, and Devendra Banhart.

jesus and mary chain school brought a step further? At least I think so. I say I think because I haven't listened to it, but if it approaches Evil Heat then we're more or less there... Vanishing point, on the other hand, I just don't get.

So... good album, no rough and scraping garage but good blues: overall, however, I think it's inferior to White Blood Cells, which remains their best-crafted work. Live, I quite liked them. That man is a demon! By the first part of 2006, he should release something with the "raconteurs" project together with Brendan Benson, and I think it’s going to be a lot more fun. ;D

I listened to the album again with a bit more attention (oh my, not that it really takes much attention to be honest...) and I've slightly changed my mind. Overall, it's not a bad album at all. Far from being a masterpiece or even just a beautiful album, though.
