So, so... calm down guys... well... for me, Is This It was a beautiful debut (derivative like few others, but I don’t care... it's beautiful. Period), Room on Fire left me perplexed: it has the best songs the Strokes have ever written (Reptilia, I Can't Win, The Way It Is) but it's not enough; the album is rather poor overall, simple chart-topping garage pop. I haven't listened to this one, but since the producer is the same as Sugar Ray, a guy who, in Casablancas' exact words, "If he finds something too complicated, he has to simplify it to make it understandable for everyone," I'd be very cautious... in short, there’s no way I'm going to buy this one sight unseen!

break these, I recommend them too.... I don't know how this album is (although it seems to me that it's very nice...) but "zitilities" (it was reviewed here on deb too) is a nice little disc.

Nice review Gale. A preview I was waiting for... Zitilities is nice but gets boring after a while: they haven’t had the same success as Radiohead because they’re basically a sort of tribute band to Thom Yorke and company. Clearly similar to their sound from the The Bends period - ok, the only thing I don’t like about the review is the fact that you say not many people know them... never underestimate the de users!!! ;D
damn it I fall asleep at 3 and wake up at 7 even on Saturday night... I must have a curse on me, I guess.
