Okay, maybe with my tender age when I say that The Mars Volta live are another dimension, I somewhat understand if you don’t believe me; after all, in a certain sense it’s a bit expected, it could be that all this love I have for this band stems from a late-adolescent fanaticism that all the kids my age fall victim to when encountering a group that may or could encapsulate everything they’ve always sought in music (okay, I might be exaggerating a little…, but then again, it’s known that love plays nasty tricks).
So to convince you once again of the greatness of this band, here’s the comment from a certain Robin Taranta who saw them on July 23 (before me…) at The Metro in Chicago:
