More than anything, I really feel bad about this, and I've been kicking myself for years over it—never being able to go to a Pantera live show. I even bought a ticket when they were at Tattoo The Planet with Slayer, but then the Pantera bailed, and I had to console myself with King Hanemann and the gang.

Trujillo is a great bassist, but with the old Metallica, he just sticks to doing the same things as Cliff, skipping over Newsted. And yes, I think he uses the Big Muff too, but to truly appreciate Roberto's beauty you need to listen to Suicidal Tendencies; in my opinion, he’s a fantastic funky bassist.

You took me for a "passenger" of Pantera; I know the 3 videos almost by heart, and in my opinion, what they're doing there is completely healthy and commendable—enjoying life. Pantera is one of my favorite bands, and it's precisely for this reason that I'm angry with Anselmo. I wasn't talking at all about marijuana and alcohol; things went wrong especially because of the "and not only" part—stuff where, 5 minutes before the shows, the others found Anselmo sitting in a corner, refusing to perform because "he was tired." Read some official interviews transcribed on damageplanfan.com, and you'll understand. As for the lyrics, I've never read those of Down, and I've already said I'm not sure that Anselmo hasn't written lyrics for Pantera; it just seemed strange to me that it was the same person who wrote "Suicide Note" compared to "Drug Your Love."

I like it a lot, I vote for Cliff's distorted.

Great Crystal Mountain, for a long time we covered it at every gig, even though it was a bit dull on the bass (thanks, I'm too spoiled, considering that the other death song we play is The Philosopher).

AAAH but I thought it was guitar, instead it's looped bass, cool!!!, even though it's a bit too squared in tempo to be an expressive solo, but probably those are the needs for the loop.
