They are officially the bass brothers of Alex Webster. Since Tuesday, at their concert in Milan, we talked for about an hour before the show and for half an hour afterward. In the end, he thanked me because I’m the only fan from the tour he had the pleasure of talking to about music. With the others, I talked about the latest and said some nonsense. With Jack (drunk) I sang country, and with Alex, I talked about slap, Steve DiGiorgio's fusion, and dark halls, his and my basses, the tunings of Cannibal, his new black strings (insanely cool), the bassists from the other bands at the festival, the fact that I drink before playing and he prefers after, etc... I am the happiest man in the world, I can die happy. He recommended Macabre to me; they are indeed interesting...

Yes, yes, I got the CDs and DVDs the day they came out, I saw Frantic and also Webster's slap pieces, and I talked to him in person at No Mercy in Milan. Later, on stage, he played a bit of slap, I shouted "Bass brother!" (like he greeted me before going to eat) and my god greeted me with approval, now I can die happy :)

Oh, I had written that Wretched Spawn is boring, well, that was what I had heard from a friend of mine who is a big fan of theirs. Now that I am their biggest fan and I have listened to it, I can strongly argue the opposite. In my opinion, it is, along with Gallery, the best of the George Fisher period.

(A jigoro) amazing, I saw the first group, then I went outside, talked to Jack, Paul, and George (chit, batt, voc), and said goodbye to Pat (chit). After that, I "lost" Exhume, vomitory, and Carpathian Forest while chatting about low music groups and nonsense with Alex outside, who signed the plate that covers the mechanics I had unscrewed from my bass. I taught him "buon appetito," and then he said goodbye, calling me "Bass Brother." We all met again after the concert, and we kept joking around. The concert was precise and flawless, by the way, with a very different and interesting setlist than usual. I even sang a few classic Country tunes along with Jack, who was already three sheets to the wind three hours before the concert :) Webster good? Webster is the fretted and percussive version (in terms of style and sounds, not in the slapper sense) of DiGiorgio; I've never seen fingers move that fast.

(A bathory) Dictionary of Bass Grooves – 34 essential styles explained and demonstrated, with the CD of samples, and drums played by Reinert. I don't have it, but I'm interested; until recently it was also available at the music store near my house. Now there's only "A portrait of Jaco" from him, but even if it doesn't come back, I don't think it would be a problem to order it at any store... are you a bassist too, Bathory?

Noo, I really love perennial quest, they are all practically beautiful, in order of preference: 1000 Eyes, Perennial & Empty Words (tie), Symbolic & Crystal (tie), Zero Tolerance...then the others.

I bought it from Fangareggi here in Modena (a record store) but you can find it in practically every shop or stall that sells metal shirts. I also saw a black one with a red logo and one of Scream Bloody Gore, but it was really poorly made.

So, first of all, sorry for not replying right away, but for the past two days I was in Milan watching Alex Webster (as he calls him My Bass Brother :)) Now to answer question 1: www.amazon.com the cidi are a bit cheaper (not all of them) due to the euro-dollar exchange rate. However, it's better to place a large order because the fixed shipping cost is around $35. 2. I don't know where I said I had a Death shirt, but in any case, I do have it, and it’s the very popular sweatshirt from The Sound Of Perseverance... I lent Human to my drummer, whom I trust enough.

Stop throwing names around to prove you’re not ignorant and dull, we’ve got it... anyway, trying to avoid insults, I don’t hate Load because it’s not Thrash Metal, simply because I don’t listen to just Thrash Metal; I don’t even listen to just Metal in general, I just don’t like it, not to the point of giving it a one, but it doesn’t say anything to me. My one is due to the fact that Metallica, with Load, didn’t make a sincere album that expressed what they felt or, more simply, what they liked (like the valid Garage Inc.), but started to sell out (already with the Black Album, to be honest) producing something boring, bland, and definitely ugly. This is my opinion.
