Lisa Stansfield The Moment
Voto:
It seems that the good Paddy McAloon has composed a new verse for the magnificent "When Love Breaks Down" for Lisa's cover. The version of the song is more than respectable, but I haven't heard the album yet. I confess I have been a fan of Stansfield since the days of Coldcut and the album "Affection". I like her.

At fifteen, buying this album with hard-earned savings, does it favor the buyer or not? :-) I really liked "Stella di mare." "Banana Republic" and "Viva l'Italia" complete the triptych.

The rating...4 for this, 5 for "Cupid & Psyche". In this there’s also the colleague of deconstruction, the late Derrida. :-) Mr. Nob, is the focus on the second?

Ah! I'm removing "Scritti Politti" from the list of reviews I would like to write. I'm a fan, I say it without shame, of Green and his companions and I have everything on vinyl. Just for reminding me, you deserve a 4, but the album deserved a more thorough analysis and a somewhat less abrupt conclusion.

Oh, yesssss!! But you know the last one is not bad at all. I was placing it among the 2005 runners. P.S. Should we expect another full week? Then tell me how you write so much...

I confess that at the time I was stuck on the single, I was lost in the jazzy sounds of Style Council and the like, but it's your perspective on music that once again I feel compelled to share. I mention it here because it seems like a fitting review: I have the impression that, at certain moments, the twin of Jorge operates on the site, the blind monk from "The Name of the Rose," the one who opposed the discovery of the book on the comedy in Aristotle's "Poetics." A gloomy vision that places "tragedy" above "comedy"; the "lofty" style over the "middle." As you know, I fiercely oppose this pyramidal view of genres, while respecting all of them.

I candidly confess that I’ve never listened to anything by the group, even though I’ve read other good reviews about them. It’s not really my “cup of tea,” as the great Dan would say, but the “player” must be versatile. A shout-out to our “deconstructionist.”

If there’s a payment to be made, let’s split it... “Cose che dimentico” is one of the best songs I've heard this year.
