Praises then to the aforementioned association, to Coleman, and, of course, to the old wrecking yard.

Listening to a 30-sec sample of a track that lasts 24(!) minutes is a bit like judging a woman's beauty based solely on her hands or feet; or better yet, given the proportions, from her thumb or big toe. It can be done, I know. But the risks involved are significant. From what little can be heard, it seems like a "Back To The Future."

Look who's back. I was starting to fear that your journeys no longer included a stop in a harbor as crowded and unique as that of the famous bar from "Star Wars." I tried in various ways to create bait to convince you to bring your wit back to these lands (Ed Motta, the latest from Fagen, I even dedicated a review to you, "Silva" by Cantuária, as if you were a stunning beauty) and here you are popping up about good ol' Wallinger. Don’t disappear again, because next time I'll let you wander through hyperspace. I hope you'll make it up to me with some exotic tips. ;-) sylvian, don't fall, quoque tu, into the clichés of the "dry" accountant: you are not an exception. It's a category to which I've owed a lot in professional terms. Let's say that even today it keeps me going. ;-)

It's hard to read everything on debaser. Let's say I often prioritize "trusted" reviewers, my preferred genres, and new releases. But even within these three areas, I always miss something. I've read several of yours, also because we share some passions: Gabriel, Sylvian, The Cure, XTC... why do you ask?

However, there's a missing apostrophe in "un'influenza." I'm glad you agree.

Without pathos, it's only possible to write CID for insurance. In your writings, it is always perceptible. However, if I may be so bold, having a few gray hairs, I believe you should measure it better, "cooling down" the passionate charge a bit more, which in your writing, but take it as a very personal judgment, leads you to overdo, to express concepts in a way that can come across as unnatural or forced. In my opinion, you should be more direct, without trying at all costs to create a "beautiful image."

We are now accustomed, especially those who write, to juggling too many things at once with results that are not always thrilling. Point of order: let’s do one thing at a time, unless the request for simultaneity comes from two attractive ladies. Joking aside, Karl Wallinger is one of the modern pop dwarfs who rise, some struggling while others, like him, do so more gracefully, on the shoulders of giants. Generally, when reading something about the album, I try to do it after writing, I stumbled upon a tomb-like metaphor from a well-known critic who, to file Karl's music away without praise or blame, says that, if I quote from memory, Wallinger "builds songs with the corpses (sic!) of others." Without dwelling on the questionable taste of the image, it can certainly be said that it is a phrase that could apply to most of the pop production of the last twenty years; a not very elegant way to evade a true judgment on an album. It’s more or less the same for songwriters, always mixing the same ingredients, and this, in my opinion, cannot solely serve as a criterion for judgment. It is almost always from the quality of the mix that a value judgment can be made. For me, Karl has a remarkable talent for balancing the many elements he uses, creating tracks that may not shine for originality—a word to be used cautiously in this field—but that are, in my view, entertaining and meaningful. I listened to and purchased on eBay the third album, "Bang!", which has been somewhat mistreated by the aforementioned critic. To me, it seemed, in some tracks, even better than this one, with a much more pronounced influence of black music, particularly funk in the style of Prince.

Yes, this name needs to be remembered. I listened to the previous "From the Cliffs", but not this one, and I got fired up.
