Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach Painted From Memory

Pacino made a brief appearance at the World Party, but it won't be easy to track him down again. Odra, the album, if it manages to make an impact, will be a faithful companion to your nostalgia.

Finally, a teenager's opinion that I agree with. However, I find the album quite inconsistent; "In The Land..." is much better for me.

But how much does this fifteen-year-old know...a true prodigy!

I haven't listened to all their albums, but among those I know, the best one is probably this one, along with their debut.

Great album. The review is not bad, but, using your own standards, this doesn’t go beyond a 2.

Thank you, fabiomr. Your judgment is very close to mine and, therefore, has something divine about it. :-))

Thank you all. Let's say I was hoping for a few more admirers, but I don't regret spending half an hour on the album because, like Massimof, I consider it, as you may have guessed, quite valid. I would recommend it to those who have a boredom threshold higher than Punisher, which, like the pain threshold, is subjective :-), and to those with at least a mediocre knowledge of English like myself, to read the lyrics. Armolodico, first of all, congratulations on your debut nickname, if I’m not mistaken, in this review of mine. I wanted to tell you that Costello's voice is unique; it might not appeal to everyone, and he may not be a crooner, but if we want to acknowledge at least a bit of musical ear to Bacharach, we can't say he's completely out of tune as you claim. By the way, I’d like to mention that in his latest work, "At This Time," the American composer chose a vocalist with a surprisingly similar voice to Costello's, perhaps a bit more in tune. ;-)

Hello, I haven't heard the album, but I didn't like the single very much. I have admiration for Don Was, the producer(?) of the work, if I've understood correctly. The review is well written.

I still disagree: the rap you have in your mind, the one you like, may be structured, but you can't extend the definition to the whole genre: that would be denying reality. It seems to me that you are a bit too categorical and decisive; much more than artists whom rap and hip hop have helped to emerge, and who, on the contrary, tend to be much more inclusive.
