For me it’s a great album, in which, from a musical perspective, you also find the more playful Fossati, the one from "La mia Banda suona il rock" or "Panama". I agree with the reference to Fagen, especially in "La bottega di filosofia."

I know I'm going against the tide, but I consider this the best of R.E.M., alongside the aforementioned "Life's Rich Pageant" and the more recent "Automatic for the People." I wouldn't want to start another U2-like debate, but for me, R.E.M. were and are great.

I hadn't realized that there was already a well-crafted and certainly shareable review; otherwise, I wouldn't have posted mine. For me, this, I know it will scandalize many, is the album of the past year. You can't control the heart.
Zion, don't give me too many compliments, or they'll say you're a local patriot. ;-)
Thank you, anyway.

Great album, a true crossover in every sense, purchased back in the day. Certainly one of the most "seminal" albums of the '90s.

An album I've recently listened to thanks to a kind friend. I like it, although the comparison to Cave, the best one, seems a bit exaggerated to me. At times engaging and emotional, but in the long run, a bit monotonous.

This is the rap I feel most connected to. Now there’s too much homogeneity, too much repetition, too many dollars, or maybe it’s just me who can’t keep up anymore.

To say that one draws from, that one digs roots into, is not to make a simple equation this = that: I hoped you could grasp the difference. The deduction lacks logic.

Where do you get this 7 from? I really don't think it's from the newspaper of the time; maybe it's the judgment of one of the collaborators...

Are you really sure that there are no celebratory versions? Soc

I don't know the magazines you mention, but I remember that "Mucchio Selvaggio" at the time, and even afterwards, with a few exceptions, always talked about it in flattering terms, I am ready to bet.
