Prefuse 73 One Word Extinguisher

Great review. I had already heard amazing things about it, I don't remember where (maybe from Ivic on Mucchio?). I will listen to it.

We also need to take care of "Steve McQueen," brother. Have you listened to Paddy's recent solo album? I agree: let’s spread the "word." :-)

"Mellow Gold," "Odelay," "Midnite Vultures," "Mutations," the aforementioned "Sea Change"... it may not be genius to you, but to dismiss it as some kind of fool seems excessive to me.
P.S. I love "calderoni" and crossbreeds.

Kosmo, if the friend should shamefully back out, I’ll cover the pizza and the copy. (I’ll pay though. Ancient and liberal Neapolitan customs wouldn’t allow a guest to reach into their pocket: sapimm' campa'.
:-))

I confess that I consider him a genius in every expression, but I particularly enjoy his playful vein, that syncretic attitude of a superb "assembler," which emerges powerfully in albums like this one. The fifth track, "Black Tambourine," is exemplary in this regard.

"Pepp' i' nun cià faccia ra chiammà / non può chiù correre appriesse a chella là..." may God and John Lennon up there be merciful! :-)
Rufus Wainwright Poses

Anyone with children has already come across Rufus in the soundtrack of the first Shrek, where he sang a cover of the late Jeff Buckley, "Hallelujah." Both the album and the review are commendable.

There's also "Pepp'" (Help) by the mentioned Shampoo, a band from the late '70s. :-) They released an LP with all covers of the Fab Four in Neapolitan dialect.

I would like to add another name I would like to review: Amy Winehouse, a young pianist, jazz-influenced songwriter, very "straightforward" in her lyrics, and also a real knockout, which doesn't hurt. :-)
